- Why is a ring not being displayed in the 3D view
- Check for a ring error message or a segment error message. Typically the parameters result in a
ring that cannot be physically constructed
- Why is a wedge segment not being displayed in the 3D view
- Check the 2D Ring view to see if the calculated results look correct. Generally the repeating
groups contains block type segments that have a total outside length that is too large for the
ring dimentsions.
- Painting a diagonal in the Painted Editor did not paint the correct segments in some of the rings
- This can happen if your design contains multiple blocks of painted rings. Groups of painted ring with different
parameters or designs with painted and regular rings create different blocks of rings. For designs with multiple
blocks manually painting segments is the preferred method
- Copying and pasting painted segments in the Painted Editor did not paint the correct segments in some of the rings
- This can happen if you are copying and pasting across multiple blocks of painted rings. Groups of painted ring with different
parameters or designs with painted and regular rings create different blocks of rings. It is recommended that the copy and
paste operation only be used within a painted ring block
- How to find the types of wood used in a pattern
- Select the ring that contains the segment with the pattern and then select the segment row that has the pattern. Open the context menu
and select the 'Replace Wood' option and click on the 'Current Woods' control in the 'Replace Wood' dialog. The current woods in the pattern
are listed with an image and name. Since you are not actually changing the wood just cancel the dialog.
